Pershing Yachts: Everything You Need to Know
Pershing is the "fighter jet" of the yachting world. Part of the Ferretti Group, these Italian-built rockets are defined by their silver hulls, surface drives, and speeds that leave the rest of the marina in the wake. If you're looking for a floating condo, look elsewhere. This is for the driver.

Why Pershing Isn't For Everyone
(And Why That's The Point)
“Pershing is perhaps the most misunderstood brand in the Ferretti portfolio. People see the silver paint and the aggressive lines and think it’s just about looking cool at the dock. It’s not. A Pershing is a machine designed for a very specific type of owner—one who actually enjoys the act of driving.
The "X" series (5X, 6X, 7X, 8X) has revolutionized the brand by introducing carbon fiber to keep the weight down as the boats got more complex. But the heart of a Pershing remains the surface drives. If you haven't driven a boat with Top Systems or Arneson drives, there’s a learning curve. They require active management, but the reward is a 45-knot cruise and a massive rooster tail that tells everyone you've arrived.
The reality check: You trade interior volume for those sleek lines. Compared to a Princess or a Sunseeker of the same length, the Pershing will feel "tighter" inside. You’re paying for the engineering and the speed, not the square footage. If you want a ballroom, buy a Ferretti. If you want to get from Miami to Bimini in under an hour while everyone else is still clearing Government Cut, buy a Pershing.”
