The optional 1000hp engines are worth the upcharge if you plan to run Bahamas crossings regularly. The four-knot gain at cruise isn't just speed, it's schedule flexibility.
This boat works for the experienced owner who wants to be involved in operation and doesn't need a captain to enjoy weekends on the water. It doesn't work for the buyer who wants to show up, press a button, and have staff handle everything. The 580 rewards engagement. If you're the type who checks engine hours, monitors systems, and actually uses the boat rather than just owning it, this is the right platform. If you want a floating hotel room, look at the 670 or hire crew.
