The Tiara 39 LE Brings Outboard Power to the Express Cruiser

You want to leave on Friday afternoon, sleep aboard two ports down the coast, and not hire anyone to do it. That is Tiara's Luxury Express class - the 39 LE, the 43 LE and the 48 LE, from 39' 6" to 48' 4".
Every LE has two staterooms below and a fold-down hullside terrace that opens the cockpit to the water. On the 43 and the 48 a disappearing bulkhead takes it further, dropping the wall between salon and cockpit so the two read as one room. The aft cockpit is a choice on all three: a Buffet Lounge module built for entertaining, or an Adventure module built for a day on the water.
All three run Mercury 600 V12 Verado outboards - two on the 39 and the 43, three on the 48 - with joystick piloting and Garmin navigation at the helm.

39 LE - 39' 6" overall with the integrated platform, 12' 6" beam, 3' 8" draft, 22,850 lbs dry, 500 gallons of fuel and 50 of water, 21 degrees of deadrise, on twin Mercury 600 V12s. 53.7 mph at 6,395 rpm and idle to 30 in 11.5 seconds; optimum cruise 34.5 mph for 305 statute miles or 39.5 mph for 312. Two sleeping quarters and a three-zone head below, with the galley placed below deck so the cooking stays out of the social space. Up top, the helm seat rotates inward and the companion seat adjusts to form an L-shaped lounge.
43 LE - 43' 6", 13' 0" beam, 3' 5" draft, 24,000 lbs dry, 540 gallons and 60 of water, still on twin 600 V12s. 51.4 mph at 6,158 rpm and idle to 30 in 10.8 seconds; optimum cruise 35.3 mph on 56.8 gallons an hour for 302 statute miles, or 40.9 mph on 63.8 for 312. Here the galley moves up into the salon, an owner's stateroom forward and a mid-cabin guest stateroom sit below with a head private to them, and the dinette converts to a berth.
48 LE - 48' 4", 14' 2" beam, 3' 10" draft, 32,500 lbs dry, 660 gallons and 100 of water, on triple 600 V12s. 56.4 mph at 6,400 rpm - the quickest of the three - and 302 statute miles at a 42.2 mph cruise. This is the LE that stops asking guests to share: two staterooms, each with its own head, and a galley and dining area at deck level that open into the cockpit when the aft bulkhead and salon doors go back.
The step from the 43 to the 48 is a third engine, 120 more gallons of fuel, 40 more gallons of fresh water, a second head and 8,500 lbs of dry weight.

The LE line answers a question most builders answer with an inboard boat: how do you get two private staterooms, a proper galley and a head with a door on it into something you can still fuel at an outboard dock and service off the transom.
Here is where I would put most people. The 43 LE is the middle boat and it is the sweet spot, because the step up from the 39 buys the things you notice every weekend - the galley up in the salon instead of below, the disappearing bulkhead that turns salon and cockpit into one room, an owner's stateroom that is genuinely private - and it does all of it on the same two engines. Its 540 gallons return 312 statute miles at a 40.9 mph cruise, which is a real Friday-to-Sunday radius.
The 48 is the one to buy when the guest list is the design brief. Two staterooms with their own heads is a different weekend from two staterooms sharing one, and if you have ever watched two couples negotiate a single head at seven in the morning you already know what that is worth. It costs a third engine and 8,500 lbs of dry weight, and it hands back 56.4 mph.
The 39 is the boat I would take if the crew is family and the runs are short. Two sleeping quarters, a three-zone head and a below-deck galley on a hull one person can run - the whole LE trick in the smallest package.
One number to carry into the conversation. Tiara's published ranges are already worked on 90 percent of the tank, so do not discount them a second time. Get observed burn at your intended rpm in writing at sea trial and check it against the sheet for that hull.
