It is half past seven on a Saturday morning, you are forty miles offshore, and the forecast was wrong. There are three couples aboard who flew in expecting brunch at the marina by noon. This is the part of ownership nobody photographs, and it is the part a boat is actually bought for.

You have moved past the center console phase. You want the same performance envelope with a galley, climate control and the ability to host dinner for a group without everyone sitting on coolers. And you have no intention of hiring a captain to make any of it happen.
If four people and one head cover your weekends, the 43 LE does the same trick on two engines and 540 gallons. If you would rather the cockpit stayed the main room, the 46 LS is the Luxury Sport answer at a similar length.
Design and Layout: One Room, Both Ways
The centerpiece is what happens when the aft bulkhead and the salon doors open. The galley and dining area sit at deck level - robust features to starboard, dining accommodations to port - and with the bulkhead open they read as one continuous entertaining space with the cockpit. That is the argument for an express at this length instead of a flybridge, and it is the thing to test rather than read about.
The cockpit itself is a choice made at order. The power-rotating Buffet Lounge Module turns the aft end into a social space. The Adventure Module gives it over to the space and amenities for a day of fishing. Neither is an afternoon's reconfiguration.
Below deck, two staterooms and two heads. On a 48-footer that is the layout that decides whether the boat gets used for weekends with another couple aboard, or only with your own family.
The boat stands 10'10" from the waterline to the standard hardtop and 13'1" to the Garmin radar - worth writing down if there is a fixed bridge between your slip and open water.

Tiara tested the boat on Lake Michigan off Holland at 38,570 lbs as tested - five people, 1,150 lbs of gear, and fuel, water and waste tanks all full. Wide open throttle was 56.4 mph at 6,400 rpm on 151.0 gallons per hour. Zero to 30 mph took 12.2 seconds.
Optimum cruise is 42.2 mph at 5,000 rpm, worth 302 statute miles on 90 percent of the 660-gallon tank. That is the number to plan around, and it is a genuinely quick cruise for a 48-footer carrying two staterooms, two heads and 100 gallons of fresh water.
The hull carries 21 degrees of deadrise at the transom. That is the same transom angle Tiara uses across its outboard range, and at 32,500 lbs dry the 48 LE has the mass to make it work when the water gets short and steep.
What to Settle at Sea Trial
Open everything. Aft bulkhead, salon doors, cockpit module deployed, with the number of people you actually carry standing in the resulting space. If that arrangement does not do what you pictured, nothing else about the boat will make up for it.
Run at 5,000 rpm and hold it. Get observed fuel burn in writing at that setting and work your own range off 660 gallons - Tiara's figure describes one hull, on one day, at one weight, with five aboard.
Then dock it. Triple outboards on a joystick make a 48-footer manageable single-handed, but manageable is a thing you should verify in a crosswind rather than take on trust.

The 48 LE sits above the 39 LE and the 43 LE in Tiara's Luxury Express line. It shares the disappearing bulkhead with the 43 LE, and the fold-down terrace runs across all three.
The step from the 43 LE is a third engine, 120 more gallons of fuel, a second head and 8,500 lbs of dry weight. That is the whole difference, and it is the difference between a boat that sleeps four and a boat that hosts them.
