Our Take
The OS 325 is the boat I hand to someone who has decided they want to sleep on the water but has not decided they want a 40-footer. Thirty-four and a half feet, a 10-foot 10-inch beam, a cabin Pursuit rates for four, a galley with a real refrigerator and a microwave, and a private head with a pull-out shower wand — all of it inside a footprint that still fits an ordinary slip and an ordinary lift. Pursuit redesigned this hull from the ground up and you can see where the effort went: the single-piece windshield, the centerline walkway, the dive door. Nobody has to move furniture to get from the cockpit to the berth.
The reason I trust the boat is that Pursuit publishes its homework. There is a real performance bulletin for the OS 325, tested 4/25/2024 at 16,434 pounds with three people aboard, and it reads rpm by rpm. The line that sells it is 4,000 rpm: 33.5 mph, 26.3 gallons an hour, 1.27 miles to the gallon, 326 miles of range on 90 percent of the test fuel. Best cruise being that fast is unusual and it changes how you use the boat — a run to the edge and back is a fuel-planning exercise, not a gamble. Wide open is 52.6 mph and the whole curve between 3,000 and 5,000 rpm is flat enough that you choose a speed for the sea, not for the fuel gauge.
The honest limit is the options sheet. On this model, cabin and cockpit air conditioning, the 5.0 kW generator and Yamaha joystick control are all extras — and the cabin air handler eats the storage under the starboard V-berth. If you are going to sleep aboard in July in Florida, you are buying all of it, and the cabin head is a wet head with a wand rather than a stall. Buyers who want that equipment standard, plus a separated shower, a convertible dinette berth and a third engine, should be shopping the OS 355 instead. Buy the OS 325 because 35 feet is the size boat you want to own, not because it is the cheaper way into the Offshore series.

Both sleep four and both carry a private head with a shower. The OS 325 is 34 feet 6 inches, 13,740 pounds dry, twin F350s, 52.6 mph, 1.27 mpg at cruise and 326 miles from 300 gallons. The OS 355 is 37 feet 11 inches, 17,470 pounds, triple F350s, 56.5 mph, 1.00 mpg and 348 miles from 388 gallons.
The bigger boat travels 22 miles further and burns 30.1 gallons an hour to the OS 325's 26.3. The real question is the third engine — to buy, to rig and to service — not the 22 miles.

Nought to thirty takes 12.3 seconds. This is a 13,740-pound cabin boat, so it gets up and goes rather than leaps, and that acceleration figure is the honest cost of carrying a cabin, a galley and a private head on a 34-foot hull. Twin F350s fill the 700-horsepower ceiling exactly.
What cruise speed and range does Pursuit publish for the OS 325?
33.5 mph at 4,000 RPM, burning 26.3 gallons an hour for 1.27 miles per gallon and 326 miles of range, calculated on 90 percent of the test-condition fuel rather than the full 300 gallons. That is the best-cruise row on Pursuit's sheet.
It is unusually high in the rev range. Most of the line marks best cruise at 3,500 RPM, where the OS 325 manages only 23.3 mph at 1.12 mpg. The extra 500 RPM buys ten miles an hour and better economy at the same time, because that is where this hull settles properly onto plane. Worth knowing before you pick a cruise setting by ear.
