Our Take
The OS 355 is the Pursuit I would buy if the trip I cared about was the long one. Thirty-seven feet eleven on a 12-foot beam, triple F350s, 388 gallons, and a cabin that sleeps four — but what actually distinguishes it is the electrically actuated V-berth. Press a switch and the dinette becomes a queen; press it again in the morning and it is a dinette. That sounds like a gimmick until you have spent a weekend hauling filler cushions out of a locker at eleven at night, at which point it is the reason you keep using the boat instead of coming home early.
The performance sheet is why I am comfortable recommending it, and Pursuit is one of the few builders that still publishes one honestly — rpm by rpm, mph, gph, mpg, range, with the test weight and the test date printed on it. This one ran 3/11/2024 at 21,509 pounds with three aboard. At 3,500 rpm it does 30.2 mph at exactly 1.00 mile per gallon for 348 miles of range on 90 percent of the fuel. For scale, the best cruise-speed range the other three Offshore models publish is 326, 317 and 303 miles. That is the whole argument for the boat: a Bahamas crossing or a run up the coast becomes arithmetic instead of optimism. It is also flat where it counts — 3,500 to 4,500 rpm covers 30 to 43 mph and costs you only 31 miles of range across the entire band. Nought to thirty in 10.7 seconds, too, which is quicker than the smaller OS 325 despite carrying nearly 5,000 more pounds.
Here is the honest limit. The cabin sleeps four, but it is one open space plus a mid-berth — there is no door between the forward berth and the rest of it. Two couples aboard for three nights is a friendship test, not a floor plan. If you need two real staterooms with doors that close, you want the OS 405, and you should go and look at one before you talk yourself into the smaller boat. And treat the 56.5 mph top end as a specification rather than a plan: it burns 92.7 gallons an hour up there and the range falls to 211 miles. Buy this boat for the 3,500 rpm line. It is one of the best lines on any performance sheet in the class.

Is the Pursuit OS 355 enough boat, or should I step up to the OS 405?
Step up only if you need two separate sleeping areas. The OS 355 sleeps four in one cabin on an electrically actuated convertible berth. The OS 405 gives you a forward cabin with an island-style queen and a separate mid stateroom behind a solid-wood privacy door, which is a different kind of boat to spend a weekend on.
You pay for it in fuel. The OS 405 burns 38.9 gallons an hour at its 28.5 mph best cruise for 0.73 mpg, against 30.1 gallons an hour at 30.2 mph and 1.00 mpg on the OS 355. The smaller boat is also faster flat out — 56.5 mph against 55.1.
If the privacy door will not change how you use the boat, it is hard to argue for the bigger hull.
Does the Pursuit OS 355 have a shower?
Yes, a properly separated one. The enclosed head compartment sits to starboard and holds a vacuum flush marine head on a 22-gallon holding tank, a Corian countertop, a designer sink and an acrylic bi-fold shower divider — rather than a wand used over the cabin sole.
The cabin sleeps four on an electrically actuated convertible berth and dinette, and runs a 16,000 BTU reverse-cycle air conditioning unit with heat.
Fresh water is 50 gallons, against 30 gallons on the OS 325, and that is the figure that actually governs how many showers you get between fills.
What cruise speed and range does Pursuit publish for the OS 355?
30.2 mph at 3,500 RPM, burning 30.1 gallons an hour for 1.00 miles per gallon and 348 miles of range — the longest range in the Offshore line. Range is Pursuit's own figure on 90 percent of the test-condition fuel, not the full 388-gallon tank.
At 4,000 RPM the boat does 37.3 mph on 38.6 gallons an hour for 335 miles, so seven extra miles an hour costs only 13 miles of range. That is one of the flatter trade-offs in the range and it makes the OS 355 an easy boat to press on in. Top speed is 56.5 mph.

56.5 mph at 5,950 RPM on triple Yamaha F350s. Pursuit ran the sheet on 3/11/2024 at 21,509 pounds — three people, 385 gallons of fuel, full water and diesel and all optional equipment — on 15" x 20" SWS II HP propellers.
Nought to thirty takes 10.7 seconds. The three F350s add up to the hull's full 1,050-horsepower rating, and they are the package every published performance figure for this boat belongs to, so read any speed quoted for an OS 355 against that configuration.
