Absolute Navetta 66

The Navetta 66 sits in the middle of Absolute's Navetta line, one of the three ranges the yard builds alongside Flybridge and Coupe. Length overall is 64' 5" on an 18' 1" beam. Fuel is 951 US gallons and fresh water 240 US gallons, with the water heater volume included in that figure. She is certified CE category B and rated to carry sixteen people.

Absolute calls the boat The Absolute Aurora, and the design idea behind the name is light: transparent gunwale glazing on the main deck, extensive window area through the interior, high headroom and sliding doors in place of swing doors. The main deck runs with minimal steps, which is the part owners notice on the second day aboard rather than the first.

Accommodation is four cabins plus dedicated crew quarters. The fourth of those cabins is the one worth understanding before you compare this boat to anything else: it sits just above sea level, reached by a few steps down from the cockpit terrace, and its settee converts to a double berth electrically. It works as a private retreat as readily as a guest cabin.

Power is twin Volvo Penta D13-IPS1350 pods, rated 735 kW each. IPS is a pod package, so joystick control at the dock comes with the drivetrain rather than as an option you specify — the reason a 64-footer like this is realistically an owner-driven boat.

Tankage is 951 US gallons of fuel and 240 US gallons of fresh water. Those two numbers set your practical leg length more than anything else on the boat, so build your cruising plan on them. At sea trial, get observed burn at your intended rpm in writing and work your own range figures off the 951 gallons — the answer changes with your load, your props and your stabiliser choice, and the only version that matters is the one measured on your hull.

The saloon is arranged around flexibility rather than a fixed table setting. The dining table adjusts electrically for height and is served by six freestanding chairs, so the same space works for a long dinner or a coffee and a chart. A low glass partition separates the galley without closing it off, and the flat-screen TV retracts so the panoramic windows stay uninterrupted when nobody is watching it. The main helm station has its own seating design, treated as a place to sit for hours rather than a console you perch at.

Below, the forward owner's suite takes the light: large windows, an en-suite head, and Absolute's rounded furniture corners carried through the mirror, shelves and ceiling profiles. The stern VIP takes a king-size berth, made possible by a layout that removes the intervening doors and lets the space run uninterrupted. The midships twin handles children or a fourth and fifth guest. Crew quarters are separate.

Two interior schemes are offered — Sunrise, bright and light-toned, and Sunset, deeper and more saturated — using natural timbers, artistic ceramics and premium finishes in both. The layout does not change between them; the palette does.

Outside, the flybridge combines helm, dining and lounging with modular furniture that reconfigures, and the cockpit terrace carries a privacy awning. The foredeck is fully fitted for lounging.

At 64' 5" the Navetta 66 lands in a well-populated part of the Italian and British flybridge market, and the three boats a buyer at this size will genuinely see alongside it are these.

The Ferretti 670 is the closest Italian cross-shop on size and intent, and the one to weigh if interior joinery and a more traditional flybridge profile matter to you. The Princess F65 is the British alternative most of these buyers walk aboard next, and the comparison usually comes down to helm feel against saloon volume. The Galeon 620 FLY undercuts on length and makes its case on deck engineering and value.

What separates the Navetta 66 from all three is the single-level main deck and the fourth cabin above the waterline. Walk all four and pay attention to how you move through the saloon, not just how the saloon photographs.

This is the boat for an owner who wants genuine four-cabin capacity and a crew berth but still intends to run the boat himself most weekends. Sixteen people aboard, CE category B, pods and a joystick: that combination points at a family that cruises with guests and hires a captain for the longer passages rather than keeping one on the payroll.

Take it seriously if your guest pattern is unpredictable. The convertible fourth cabin means you are not carrying a permanently made-up stateroom you use twice a season — it is a private retreat the rest of the time, and it converts at the touch of a button when the extra couple says yes.
