Tiara Yachts 35 LS

The 35 LS is Tiara's luxury sport console: 35'9" overall with the integrated platform, on an 11'6" beam and a 3'4" draft, at 16,000 lbs dry with 22 degrees of deadrise at the transom.

Deep gunnels and placed handrails make moving around it straightforward, and the helm sightlines are drawn so the person driving can keep an eye on everyone aboard - the detail that separates a family boat from a fast one.

Forward, bow seating faces inward for conversation. Aft, the cockpit shifts from two separate seating zones into one large lounge.

Tiara offers two Mercury propulsion packages: Verado V10 outboards at 350 hp or at 425 hp. On Tiara's own test of the twin 425 V10 boat - Lake Michigan, 18,933 lbs as tested, three aboard - the 35 LS ran 50.3 mph at 6,374 rpm and reached 30 mph from idle in 11.4 seconds.

Tiara publishes two optimum cruise settings: 33.3 mph at 4,500 rpm for 351 statute miles, and 38.4 mph at 5,000 rpm for 322 statute miles. Both are calculated on 90% of the 410-gallon tank, so a 10% reserve is already inside the number.

Those ranges are what the 410 gallons buy: on this hull, backing off 5 mph is worth about 30 statute miles.

Below deck, forward seating converts into a queen berth, which makes a casual overnight possible without turning the boat into a cruiser. A private head sits below with it.

The aft cockpit is the part owners will use hardest. It carries two seating zones that combine into a single lounge, so the same boat handles four people at anchor and a full group at the sandbar.

At the helm, Garmin EmpirBus digital switching runs the boat's systems from the display, which keeps the console clean and the switch count low.

The 35 LS joined Tiara's Luxury Sport line for the 2027 model year, filling the space between the LX crossovers and the larger LS boats.

Against a conventional center console of the same length it trades some cockpit area for a convertible berth, a private head and a helm laid out around visibility. Against the 39 LS above it, it gives up the terrace, the mid cabin and roughly 90 gallons of fuel, and asks for a smaller slip and a smaller engine bill.

Buy the 35 LS if the boat has to do two jobs - family day boat and genuine offshore runner - and you would rather not own two boats to do them.

Specify the 425 package if the 50 mph top end and the published cruise numbers are what you are buying; the 350s are there if efficiency matters more than the last five miles an hour. Step up to the 39 LS if you want a portside terrace and a mid cabin, and step across to the 39 LE if two staterooms matter more than cockpit space.
