The 2026 restyle of Sunseeker's smallest flybridge: new profile, new glazing, a modular aft cockpit and a full-beam master, all on a hull platform Sunseeker itself calls proven.

Quick Verdict

  • Every published figure is identical to the Manhattan 55: 56' 6", 16' 0", 4' 6", 59,524 lbs half load, 580 and 158 gallons, 3 cabins / 2 heads, 32 knots maximum, 25 knots cruise. You are buying the 2026 deck and interior programme, not a larger boat.
  • The full-beam master with full-height headroom around a curved king berth is the strongest single argument for this boat at 56' 6", and it exists because the galley sits on the main deck.
  • Propulsion is listed as shafts or pods, and total output is 1,600 PS. Pin the drivetrain and the engine make, model and serial to the specific hull in writing before you sign, because neither is a retrofit.
  • The aft cockpit converts between dining, lounging and a full-beam sunpad on modular seating. Sit in all three configurations at the show before you decide it works for how you actually use a boat.

Our Take

Let me be straight with you about what this boat is, because the naming will confuse you. The Manhattan 56 publishes exactly the same numbers as the Manhattan 55. Same 56' 6" length overall, same 16' 0" beam, same 4' 6" draft, same 59,524 lbs half load, same 580 gallons of fuel, same three cabins and two heads, same 32 knots maximum, same 25-knot cruise. Not close. Identical, row for row. Sunseeker's own copy calls this a proven hull platform, which is the yard telling you the same thing politely. What you are buying with the 56 is a generation, not a bigger boat.

What that generation gets you is real, and it is mostly where you live. A new exterior profile for 2026 with main-deck glazing that runs uninterrupted down the side. An aft cockpit rebuilt around modular seating that goes from a dining setup to lounging to a full-beam sunpad. The first boat to carry Sunseeker's new exterior upholstery collection. And below, the latest Sunseeker Interiors Collection with a full-beam master built around a curved king berth with full-height headroom, which is genuinely unusual at this length. If you spend your time in the cockpit and the master, the 56 is the one to buy.

Now the thing I want you to take to your dealer. The engine maker on this model is not settled: Sunseeker's page for it carries MAN at up to 1,600 PS total in the technical table and twin Volvo Penta D13-800s in the copy above it. The power is not in question, because two times eight hundred is sixteen hundred either way. The maker on the block is. So get the engine make, model and serial written onto your offer rather than spoken across a desk, and confirm them against the plates in the engine room at survey. Propulsion is listed as shafts or pods, which is a second thing to pin down on the specific hull. And have observed burn at your intended cruise recorded at sea trial.

Sunseeker Manhattan 56 Overview

The Manhattan 56 is the current presentation of Sunseeker's smallest flybridge motoryacht, introduced with a new exterior profile for 2026. Length overall is 56' 6" on a 16' 0" beam, drawing 4' 6" at full load, with a half-load displacement of 59,524 lbs. Three cabins, two heads. Fuel is 580 US gallons and fresh water 158 US gallons. Maximum speed is up to 32 knots, with a cruise of around 25 knots.

Sunseeker describes it as the modern evolution of an eighties nameplate, and as a boat suited to owner operation. The hull platform underneath is not new, and the yard says so directly: its own copy for this boat refers to a proven hull platform. Every published dimension, tank, speed and accommodation figure matches the Manhattan 55 exactly.

What is new sits above the waterline. The 2026 profile is cleaner and lower in the shoulder, with expanded main-deck glazing running uninterrupted along the side. The aft cockpit has been rebuilt around modular seating that reconfigures between dining, lounging and a full-beam sunpad, and it flows aft to the bathing platform and Beach Club. This is also the first Sunseeker to carry the yard's new exterior upholstery collection, with piping and stitch detailing called out specifically.

Below, the interior has been redone under the latest Sunseeker Interiors Collection, described by the yard as drawing on modern apartment living: minimalist forms, warm natural finishes, tactile textures. The main-deck galley position is what makes the accommodation work, and the headline of that accommodation is a full-beam master.

Sunseeker took this boat, not the 55, to its Cannes Yachting Festival stand for 8 to 13 September 2026.

Performance & Handling

Performance is up to 32 knots maximum with a cruise of around 25 knots, and those figures are identical to the ones for the Manhattan 55 on the same platform.

Total output is 1,600 PS, which is twin 800s under either designation. Settle the engine make, model and serial for the specific hull in writing on your offer rather than taking them from a brochure, and confirm them against the plates in the engine room at survey. An early boat and a later one will not necessarily carry the same package.

Propulsion is listed as shafts or pods. That is a genuine ownership fork rather than a trim level, and it changes how the boat docks and how it is serviced for the rest of its life. Confirm which package the specific hull carries.

Draft is 4' 6" maximum at full load, which is shallow for the length and useful in thin water. Displacement is 59,524 lbs at half load, so that number already carries a working amount of fuel, water and gear. For a burn figure, run the boat at your intended cruise on sea trial and have it recorded with the sea state and the load aboard.

Interior & Accommodations

The accommodation is three cabins and two heads, and the reason it works at 56' 6" is a decision made on the deck above. The galley sits on the main deck, which frees the volume below for three properly proportioned cabins rather than two and a compromise.

The headline is the full-beam master. Sunseeker gives it full-height headroom around a curved king-size berth, with a starboard area the owner can specify as a chaise lounge, a breakfast table or additional stowage. The en suite is detailed with recessed lighting and generous stowage. A full-beam master with standing headroom throughout on a 56-footer is not a given, and it is the most persuasive thing about this boat below decks.

The main-deck saloon is arranged open-plan with panoramic hull windows, and the 2026 change to the glazing is what you notice first: main-deck glass now runs uninterrupted along the profile rather than being broken into sections. The saloon, the dining area and the helm read as one volume, which is the intent.

The interior programme is the latest Sunseeker Interiors Collection, described by the yard as inspired by modern apartment living, with minimalist forms, warm natural finishes and tactile textures in place of traditional yacht styling. Whether you want that or the older, more furnished look is a matter of taste, and it is the clearest visible difference between this boat and the Manhattan 55 when you stand in both.

Aft, the reworked cockpit is the other reason to buy this generation. Modular seating converts the space between dining, lounging and a full-beam sunpad, and it opens onto the bathing platform and Beach Club. Sit in all three arrangements before you decide, because modular furniture is only an advantage if you will actually move it. Fresh water is 158 US gallons, and that is the tank that limits a long weekend with a transom shower in use.

Market Position

Two comparisons decide this boat, and only one of them is with another builder.

The first is internal. The Manhattan 55 publishes an identical figure in every row of the specification: 56' 6" length overall, 16' 0" beam, 4' 6" draft, 59,524 lbs half load, 580 US gallons of fuel, 158 US gallons of water, three cabins, two heads, up to 32 knots, 25 knots cruise. Sunseeker's own copy for the 56 calls the platform proven, which is the yard confirming the lineage rather than hiding it. So the 56 is not a bigger, faster or more capable boat than the 55, and any broker who frames it that way is selling you something the data does not support.

What the 56 is, is the current programme: 2026 exterior profile, expanded uninterrupted main-deck glazing, the first showing of Sunseeker's new exterior upholstery collection, a modular aft cockpit that converts between dining, lounging and a full-beam sunpad, and the latest interiors collection below with the full-beam master. Sunseeker also chose this boat, not the 55, for its Cannes Yachting Festival stand for 8 to 13 September 2026. If the deck and the interior are where you live, that is the whole argument, and it is a good one.

The second comparison is external. The Princess F55 at 57' 9" with three cabins and two heads is the direct British cross-shop and the boat most of these buyers see on the same day. The Azimut Fly 53 at 55' 1" comes at the same slip length from the Italian side with a crew berth in the mix.

Where the Sunseeker argument is strongest is the combination of a 25-knot cruise, a shallow 4' 6" draft and a genuine full-beam master. Where it asks more of you is at the order desk, because the engine package and the drivetrain both have to be pinned to the specific hull rather than to the model.

Who the Manhattan 56 Is For

Buy this boat if you want the current Sunseeker flybridge programme in the smallest package the yard makes it in, and if you intend to run it yourself. Three cabins, two heads, 580 gallons of fuel and 158 gallons of water is a family-of-six long-weekend boat, and it is honestly sized for that rather than stretched.

It suits an owner who spends the day in the cockpit and the night in the master. The modular aft seating and the full-beam master with full-height headroom are the two things this boat does better than its own predecessor, and both of them are experienced rather than measured. Go and sit in them.

It also suits a shallow-water owner. Four foot six maximum at full load is genuinely useful on the Bahamas bank and in the thinner parts of the ICW, and it is a real advantage over some Italian competition at the same length.

Look elsewhere if you need four cabins, a fourth berth arrangement or dedicated crew quarters. This platform does not offer them, and the step in the family that does is the Manhattan 68 at 69' 7", which brings four cabins, three heads and crew accommodation.

Three things to settle before you commit. The engine make and model, in writing, for the specific hull. The drivetrain, because shafts and pods are both listed and they are different boats to own. And observed fuel consumption at your intended cruise, recorded at sea trial.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Sunseeker Manhattan 56 bigger than the Manhattan 55?

No. The two boats publish an identical figure in every specification row: 56' 6" length overall, 16' 0" beam, 4' 6" draft, 59,524 lbs half-load displacement, 580 US gallons of fuel, 158 US gallons of fresh water, three cabins, two heads, up to 32 knots maximum and a cruise of around 25 knots. Sunseeker's own copy for the 56 describes it as running on a proven hull platform. The number in the name changed because Sunseeker has been renaming models to reflect measured length; the boat did not get larger.

Does the Sunseeker Manhattan 56 have a full-beam master cabin?

Yes. The master is full beam with full-height headroom around a curved king-size berth, and to starboard the owner can specify a chaise lounge, a breakfast table or additional stowage. The en suite is detailed with recessed lighting and generous stowage. That arrangement exists because the galley sits on the main deck rather than below, which frees the volume for three properly proportioned cabins. Total accommodation is three cabins and two heads.

What engines does the Sunseeker Manhattan 56 have?

The output is not in question - 2 x 800, 1,600 PS in total - but the maker is. Sunseeker's own technical specification table reads MAN, while the marketing copy on the same page reads twin Volvo Penta D13-800 engines, and one of the two statements is out of date.

So treat the engine make as an open item on this boat. Get the make, model and serial numbers written into your offer and confirmed against the plates in the engine room at survey.

Propulsion is listed as shafts or pods, which is the second item to pin down on the specific hull.

What changed on the Sunseeker Manhattan 56 for 2026?

Everything above the waterline, and nothing below it. Sunseeker gave the 56 a new exterior profile with a cleaner, lower silhouette and main-deck glazing that now runs uninterrupted along the side. The aft cockpit was rebuilt around modular seating that reconfigures between dining, lounging and a full-beam sunpad, opening aft to the bathing platform and Beach Club. This is also the first Sunseeker to carry the yard's new exterior upholstery collection. Below, the interior is redone under the latest Sunseeker Interiors Collection, with a full-beam master built around a curved king-size berth with full-height headroom. The hull platform, the dimensions, the tankage and the performance figures are unchanged.
