The navetta idea — protected walkways, a step-free flybridge, a raised helm with its own side access — usually arrives with a captain attached. The Absolute Navetta 50 is the length at which Absolute offers it to somebody who intends to run the boat himself, and the yard says so directly: fully owner-operable.
At 49' 8" overall on a 15' 4" beam, it opens a Navetta line that then runs 53, 58, 62, 66, 70 and 75.
The details that make it a one-person boat
The helm is to starboard with direct access from it to the side deck. On an owner-operated boat that is the layout that matters most: you can see the corner you are turning into and step out to the cleat without crossing the saloon. Twin Volvo Penta D6-IPS650 pod drives put a joystick under your hand for the rest of it.
Movement is step-free up to the flybridge, and the side decks carry handrails, bulwarks and integrated lighting — which is what decides whether anyone goes forward after dark or waits until morning.
A flybridge people actually use
The flybridge is treated as a full open-air room rather than a viewing platform: a dining area, a bar unit, a barbecue, and comfortable seating beside the helm. Nobody goes below to make lunch, and the driver has company. Because it is step-free, people go up there — which sounds obvious until you have owned a boat where they did not.
The cockpit terrace continues the saloon rather than ending it. It is free of fixed elements, with large opening glass surfaces and modular furnishings that reconfigure in minutes. Forward, the deck was redesigned around expansive sunbathing areas and protected walkways beneath the flybridge.
Below deck, and the diagonal berth
The sleeping arrangement is where the Navetta 50 spends its length. The owner's cabin is forward with a diagonal berth — the trick that buys walking room down both sides at a length where most boats put you against a bulkhead — plus natural light, privacy, a separate shower and a walk-in wardrobe. The midship VIP is close enough to suite standard that Absolute describes it as approaching a second suite level. A third guest cabin and a crew cabin complete the night area.
Above, the aft galley serves the interior and the cockpit from the same position, which is what makes the cockpit terrace usable as a dining room rather than as somewhere plates arrive.
The interior is the yard's Generation 2026 aesthetic: light woods, refined finishes and full-height windows. The practical effect of full-height glass on a 50-footer is that the saloon reads as one continuous space with the terrace behind it, rather than as a room with a door in it.
Tankage, and what to settle first
Fuel is 476 gallons — more than the 47 FLY carries on a similar footprint — and fresh water is 140. With three guest cabins and crew quarters aboard, water is the tighter constraint on a long weekend, so plan that side first. The boat is certified CE Category B for 14 people.
Speed and consumption on a pod installation move with load, propellers and specification. Get observed figures at your intended cruise rpm in writing on the exact package you are ordering, and work your own range off the 476 gallons. Confirm the draft, the rigged weight and the exact engine rating on your own hull in writing before you commit to a berth, a lift or a transport quote.
Where it sits in the range
Against Absolute's own Flybridge line the comparison is interesting at almost the same length. The 47 FLY is 48' 0" and puts three cabins below with no crew space; the Navetta 50 is 49' 8", carries 476 gallons against the 47's 423, and adds crew quarters behind the three guest cabins. The flybridge boat is the sportier deck plan; the Navetta is built to stay out longer.
The next rung up is the Navetta 53, and the reason to take it is the full-beam master amidships. If that is what you want, take it — this boat puts the owner forward.
