The Benetti Oasis Series

For most Oasis buyers yes, but only if you genuinely live outside. The Oasis Deck® is the organising idea of both boats: the aft end becomes a full outdoor living space at sea level instead of a swim platform with a ladder. The rest of the layout is arranged around it, and the salon reads smaller than the length would suggest.

Neither boat is slow about reaching the anchorage — 14 knots cruise on the 34M, 14.5 on the 42M — but they are designed to sit still once they arrive. If your day runs from the pool to the water to a shaded table on deck, the trade costs you nothing. If you entertain indoors, stand in the salon before you commit.

Ten guests in five cabins, on either model. Benetti holds guest capacity flat across the Oasis line, so the 34M and the 42M sleep exactly the same party. What changes is the crew: the 34M is drawn for seven crew in four cabins, the 42M for eight to nine crew in five.

That extra crew cabin is the practical difference. It is what lets you run a second stewardess or a dedicated deckhand for the tenders without anyone sharing a bunk they resent. If you travel with a full guest list and expect table service outside for every meal, the 42M's crew arrangement is the one that holds up over a long stay aboard.

Size and reach, not sleeping capacity. The Oasis 34M is 112'9" and roughly 265 gross tons, with 2,700 nautical miles of range at 10 knots. The Oasis 42M is 139'5" and 418 gross tons, with 4,000 nautical miles at the same speed. Both use RWD exterior lines over Bonetti/Kozerski interiors.

The layout difference matters more than the numbers. On the 42M the owner's suite moves up to the upper deck, which gives real separation from guest traffic and a private forward terrace. The 34M keeps a more conventional arrangement and, at 200 tonnes full load, stays the easier boat to move, berth and staff. The 42M is the same holiday with more room to be alone in.

Yes, and that is much of the point of the line. The Oasis 34M draws 6'8" and the 42M draws 6'9", which is shallow for yachts of 112 and 139 feet and puts most of the Exumas within reach. Benetti gets there with composite construction — GRP on both hulls, with carbon on the 34M — rather than the steel used higher up the range.

Light structure keeps displacement down, and low displacement is what buys the draft. The practical result is that you plan an itinerary around where you want to be rather than around where the water is deep enough. Very few yachts of this length let you make that choice freely.
