The SL96A is the version of Sanlorenzo's asymmetric concept that will convince people who did not like the idea. The trick is that you cannot see it from the dock. The yard's own line is that the exterior disguises the asymmetric layout through elegant, balanced lines — concealed gangways, full-height glazing and opening terraces redefining the volumes without announcing themselves. Walk aboard and the room is wider than it should be, and nothing about the profile prepared you for it.
Twin MTU 16V2000 M86s at 2,216 horsepower a side, and 28 knots published. One engine package, one speed — Sanlorenzo does not offer alternatives on this model, whatever you may read elsewhere about a smaller MTU option or a 30-knot figure. Neither is on the yard's page.
