Dock & Dine in Ventura & the Channel Islands
There is one published guest-dock arrangement in either harbour, it comes from the Port District rather than from a restaurant, and it is written for paddlers.
Here it is in full:
"The Marina's 'C' dock in front of [the harbour restaurant] offers paddlers in the Harbor complimentary tie-up on the inside tie for visiting Harbor Village restaurants and shops. Electric boats or other vessels may contact Ventura Harbor Village Marina Courtesy Patrol at (805) 218-4888 for complimentary day use."
The Port's transient boaters page adds the time limit: "Complimentary guest docks for 2 hours at Ventura Harbor Village Marina."
Paddlers by default. Electric boats and others by telephone. Two hours. It is not a dock-and-dine arrangement for a 60-foot boat.
So dining here works the way it works in every busy California harbour: you berth, and then you walk. Both harbours are built for exactly that, and the walk is short — Harbor Village puts more than a dozen restaurants within a few minutes of the slips, and the Channel Islands guest docks sit in the middle of the waterfront. Take a transient berth at $1.50 per foot per day at Ventura Harbor Village, or $1.90 per foot with a $47 minimum at the County guest docks in Channel Islands. Remember the County takes no reservations and asks you to present in person at the Harbormaster Dock in seaworthy condition, with a ten-day maximum.
The chart below runs the crossing rather than a restaurant row, because that is what this market is actually about: the two harbours, the platforms on the track, Windy Lane, and the island anchorages beyond it.

Dockage notes are what each restaurant publishes on its own site — space is first-come and dinner-hour rafting is real, so hail ahead. Where a venue states nothing about docking, we say so rather than guess.
