Dock & Dine in Amalfi Coast & Capri

Nowhere else does lunch come to the boat the way it does here — the famous tables of this coast publish their own buoys, coordinates, VHF channels and tender schedules, and the run between them is the itinerary. Every welcome below is stated on the venue's own site.

The Faraglioni — the signature stop

La Fontelina publishes its mooring coordinates outright — 40° 32' 36'' N, 14° 15' 00'' E — and works VHF channel 10 for arriving boats, with a taxi boat from Marina Piccola (EUR 40 for up to four) if the crew comes by land; season 18 April to 11 October 2026. Directly across the strait between the stacks, Da Luigi ai Faraglioni says it plainly: moor at one of the buoys offshore and our tender will bring you to the beach club, with transfers from Marina Piccola at EUR 10 a head and a pre-booked service from Marina Grande. Swim between the stacks, then lunch on either side — the whole stop is boat-native.

Marina Grande — berth, buoy and Tiberio

The island's dockage is Porto Turistico di Capri: 300 berths to 197 ft (60 m), VHF 71, 24-hour mooring assistance by RIB — and in August, every one of those berths is spoken for early, so plan the stop rather than improvise it. Just west of the port, Bagni Tiberio keeps customer buoys offshore with a tender to the beach club, plus a free client shuttle from beside the hydrofoil ticket offices, 9:30 to 18:00 — the easy lunch when the boat is already lying at Marina Grande.

Nerano and Recommone — the boat-lunch heartland

In Recommone Bay, Conca del Sogno publishes its GPS (N 40.63871, E 14.89107) and a docking bay for guests arriving by sea, with its own boat service as backup. Around the corner at Marina del Cantone stand the two shrines of spaghetti alla Nerano: Lo Scoglio (the De Simone family since 1958, the dining room on a rock over the water) and the Michelin-starred Taverna del Capitano (the Caputo family since 1967) — both a few steps from the beach, with the park's Le Mortelle buoy field working the same waters. All of this sits inside the Punta Campanella park, so the zone rules on the cruising notes above are part of the lunch plan.

Positano — the red fish

Positano has no documented berthing, and it doesn't need any for this: Da Adolfo's own gozzo — the one with the big red wooden fish on the mast — leaves the town pier between 10:00 and 13:00 and returns from 16:00, free and reserved for diners. Land the party at the pier for the pickup, or lie off Laurito while the afternoon stretches. Reservations by phone only, +39 089 875022.

Anacapri and Amalfi — the landmark tables

On Capri's far side, Il Riccio, the Capri Palace's beach-club restaurant, publishes its position by the Grotta Azzurra, and Lido del Faro waits under the Punta Carena lighthouse for sunset — by land per its own site, so make it the shore excursion of a Capri stay. In Amalfi itself, Torre Saracena serves inside an ancient tower of the old Duchy's coastal defenses, a short walk up from the harbor where the Coppola pontoon moors boats to 115 ft (35 m).

The middle of this run belongs to the Punta Campanella marine park — no anchoring in Zone B, daytime-only anchoring at set distances in Zone C, and hard bans at Ieranto, Li Galli and Crapolla — and the sanctioned answer is the park's own 35-buoy field at Le Mortelle, paid through its Blue Discovery app. August berth scarcity at Capri is real, and Positano is a tender-and-pier stop, not a marina.
