Power catamaran yachts from 75 to 116 feet, sharing their platforms with the sail line
A power catamaran at yacht scale buys you beam a monohull cannot match and water a deep-draft motoryacht cannot follow. Fountaine Pajot's FPY power hulls run from the 75'4" FPY70 to the 116'6" FPY120, and each shares its platform with an S-suffix sailing sister — choosing between the FPY80 and the FPY80S is a propulsion decision, not a different boat.
Three yachts, all with dedicated crew quarters, all built near La Rochelle. The FPY80 draws just 4'11" at 78'8" of length, and the yard publishes 3,000 nautical miles of autonomy for the flagship FPY120.

The FPY70 opens the power line — 75'4" on a 36'5" beam with twin 300 hp diesels, 977 gallons of fuel and three to six cabins plus crew. The yard publishes no speed for it; ask for trial data.
The FPY80 is the shallow-water pick: 78'8" drawing just 4'11", up to 22 knots with the uprated 900 hp engine option, and four to seven cabins plus crew.
The FPY120 is the flagship — 116'6" on a 48'7" beam, an 18-knot cruise with a 24-knot top end, six cabins for twelve guests, and 3,000 nautical miles of published autonomy.
The number I keep coming back to in this line is the FPY80's draft: 4'11" on a 78'8" yacht. That is skinny-water access on a boat with up to seven cabins, and if your cruising map is the Bahamas or the Keys, that figure is most of the argument by itself. The 22-knot top end with the uprated engines means you are not trading all the pace away to get it.
Two things to press on before you sign. The FPY70 has no published speed — none, on a seventy-five-foot motor yacht — so make sea-trial data part of the conversation. And if you are weighing the FPY120 against its sailing sister, remember the power boat is the one of the pair with published performance: 18 knots at cruise, 24 flat out, and 3,000 nautical miles of autonomy.
