Put Sunseeker's 95 Yacht and 100 Yacht side by side and one of them does not behave the way physics suggests it should.
The 95 Yacht: 92' 1" overall, 186,731 lbs at half load, 7' 0" draft, up to 26.5 knots.
The 100 Yacht: 98' 3" overall, 219,095 lbs at half load, 6' 10" draft, up to 30 knots.
The bigger boat is over 32,000 lbs heavier, four knots faster and two inches shallower. That is not a typographical error on anyone's sheet. It is an engine variant.
One letter
The 95 Yacht runs twin MTU 12V 2000 M96L. The 100 Yacht runs twin MTU 12V 2000 M96X, quoted at 2 x 2,000 PS. Same block family, same displacement class, different rating, and at the top of this range that variant does more to set the speed than the weight does.
This matters practically, not just as trivia. If you are cross-shopping the large end of Sunseeker's line by displacement, you will predict the speed ordering wrongly. And if you are cross-shopping across brands, you will find MTU 12V 2000 installations on several boats in this segment at quite different ratings.
Which variant will your boat have?
The standard fit is the M96X, and that is what the yard's own body copy names, while the M96L heads the specification table. Carry the habit to every other boat in this range: read the prose as well as the table, because the prose is where the yard resolves the question. Then read your own contract, because the contract is the only document that decides what turns up.
Units: PS, not horsepower
This is the boat in the line where Sunseeker's unit convention is explicit. The engines read 2 x 2,000 PS.
Sunseeker quotes output in PS across its whole range, while the same engines are usually listed in HP by the competitors a buyer will cross-shop, and the engine model names themselves are built from the PS number. About 1.4 percent separates the units. It is not two different engines and it is not a lower rating.
The fifth cabin
The other reason this boat exists is accommodation. Published accommodation is five cabins and six heads, plus crew quarters. Every boat below it in the line, the 76 Yacht, the 88 Yacht and the 95 Yacht, publishes four cabins and four heads.
The volume behind that is real. Beam goes from 21' 6" on the 95 to 22' 11" here, a seventeen-inch increase. The step from the 88 to the 95 delivered three inches. So this is where the width actually arrives.
One thing to watch. Fresh water goes from 462 US gallons on the 95 to 476 here, an increase of fourteen gallons, while the boat gains a cabin and a head. If you intend to run five occupied cabins away from a dock, settle water-making capacity at the order desk rather than assuming the tank covers it.
The cross-shops
The Ferretti 1000 is 98' 10" on a 22' 4" beam, five guest cabins and three crew, 2,378 gallons of fuel, and quoted at 24 knots standard or 28 optional, with cruise speeds of 20 and 24 published against them.
The Riva 102' Corsaro Super is 99' 3" on a 22' 0" beam, five cabins and three crew cabins, 2,378 gallons, and 26 or 28 knots depending on the MTU installation, again with cruise figures published.
The Sanlorenzo SX100 is 100' 1" on a considerably wider 24' 11" beam, published as eight guests and five crew, 4,174 gallons, and 23 knots on four Volvo Penta IPS3 1050 drives. A different idea of the length entirely.
On the published sheet the Sunseeker is the fastest of the four at up to 30 knots and carries more fuel than the Ferretti or the Riva at 3,381 gallons. It is also the shallowest of the shaft-driven boats in the group at 6' 10". Where it gives ground is beam and tankage against the Sanlorenzo, which is two feet wider and carries 4,174 gallons at seven knots less.
Four things to get in writing
The engine installation as it will be built. The M96X is the standard fit. Have the variant and its rating on your contract.
Rigged weight and tankage as fitted. 219,095 lbs at half load and 3,381 gallons are the model figures.
Observed consumption at your cruising rpm. Sea trial, loaded boat, written down.
Watermaker capacity. Five cabins, six heads and crew on 476 US gallons of fresh water.
The verdict
The 100 Yacht is the most coherent boat in Sunseeker's flagship line. It adds the cabin the range needed, it is faster and shallower than the boat below it, and unlike the 134 Yacht above it, it exists in photographs rather than renderings and is being shown at Cannes in September 2026.
Go and see it. Then get the engine variant, the rigged weight and the observed consumption in writing.
