Eight guests, three crew, four thousand litres of fuel, and one point two metres of draft — inside seven and a quarter metres of beam. That combination does not exist anywhere else I know of.
Who It's For
The Sunreef ULTIMA 66 is the first boat in the narrow-beam range with genuine crewed-yacht credentials. Sunreef publishes 22 m overall on a 7.25 m beam, 1.2 m of draft, accommodation for 8 guests plus 3 crew, two fuel tanks of 2,000 l each and 800 l of water.
That puts it in a different ownership category from the ULTIMA 55, which is a coastal boat with a day boat's tankage. The 66 can be run as a proper programme.
Check the Length, Not the Name
One caution that matters more on this model than most. The ULTIMA 66 measures 22 m overall, which is 72 ft 2 in — not 66 feet.
The ULTIMA model numbers are not lengths in feet the way the rest of Sunreef's range names are. The 88 is 28.40 m, or 93 ft 2 in. The 55 and 77 happen to match at 16.6 m (55 ft) and 23.5 m (77 ft), which makes the mismatch on the 66 and 88 easier to miss.
Check the published dimension against your berth, not the model number.
The Draft Is the Point
One point two metres on a 22-metre yacht is the specification the entire ULTIMA range is built around. It is one of only three draft figures Sunreef publishes anywhere in its range.
Combined with a beam narrow enough for an ordinary berth, it produces a yacht that can be kept anywhere and taken almost anywhere. That is the argument, and on this model the numbers actually support it.
Design and Layout
Eight guests and three crew inside 7.25 m of beam is achieved by going long rather than wide — 22 m of hull rather than the 18.3 m of a comparably-accommodated 60 Sunreef Power.
The range's standard equipment carries over: folding bulwark platforms that widen the aft deck at anchor, custom sea-stairs, dedicated water-toy stowage, and ultralight flexible solar panels integrated into the surfaces.

The Hydrofoil Option
Sunreef lists a hydrofoil option and high-performance hybrid propulsion among this model's features. The classic drivetrain is Volvo Penta D8 with IPS 800 pods.
Treat the hydrofoil and hybrid packages as available rather than quantified, and ask for output figures in writing. On a yard that designs its own solar panels and does its own composite engineering, they are worth asking about seriously.
Settle These at Contract
Get displacement, draft and performance in writing before you sign a build contract, and record observed speed and consumption at your intended rpm at sea trial. If a broker or a listing hands you a precise Sunreef figure, ask which document it came from.
Where to Start
The ULTIMA 66 is the model that makes the narrow-beam case properly: a crewed yacht that draws under four feet and still fits an ordinary 22-metre berth.
Step up to the 77 or 88 for more length and volume. Step down to the 55 if the boat is for days and weekends. Step across to the 70 Sunreef Power if the full-beam deck plan matters more than the berth.
