Here is something you do not often write about a shipyard of this standing: the English-language page for one of its current models does not load.
The 70 Sunreef Power is listed on Sunreef's own power range page. It is in the mega-menu that runs across all five of the shipyard's domains. It is in the sitemap. And the English page returns a 404. The other language editions are live and carry the full specification, which is where the figures below come from.
The model is current. The page is broken. That is a documentation problem, not an engineering one — but it is worth knowing before you go looking.
Who It's For
The Sunreef 70 Power NEXT is the middle of the power range and, on the numbers, the best-balanced boat in it. Sunreef publishes 21.3 m (69 ft 11 in) overall on an 11.35 m beam, CE design category A, 1,600 l of water and 4,000–8,000 l of fuel.
That water figure is the one that matters. It is double what the 60 Sunreef Power carries, and it is the practical difference between a boat that visits anchorages and a boat that stays in them with a full complement aboard.
Design and Layout
An 11.35 m beam on a 21.3 m hull is a very large deck plan: a full-beam aft cockpit, a flybridge, and hulls deep enough to carry guest and crew accommodation without one intruding on the other.
Layouts are drawn to the owner's brief across the range, and Sunreef publishes no cabin or head count for the 70 Power. What it does publish is the tankage, and on this boat the tankage is the specification that shapes how the boat gets used.
Under the NEXT programme the flybridge moves to a flush layout with options for spa pools, bars and extended sunpads, and the cockpit-to-saloon flow is reworked.
A More Coherent Boat Than the 60
The 60 Sunreef Power is specified from 2 × 300 hp to 2 × 850 hp — a range so wide that two examples can be quite different boats. The 70 narrows that to 2 × 300 hp to 2 × 600 hp.
That is a more coherent specification, and it makes brokerage comparison easier: you are looking at a smaller spread of possible builds. Fuel runs 4,000–8,000 l against the 60's 6,000–10,000 l, which is another sign that the 70 is the more balanced design rather than simply the larger one.
The Eco version substitutes Sunreef's solar-electric package, with the shipyard's own composite-integrated panels and battery bank. As on the 60, no motor output or battery capacity is published for it.
What Sunreef Does Not Tell You
Sunreef publishes no speed figure for any boat in its current range. No top speed, no cruise speed, no range — not on this model and not on any of the other thirteen we cover. That is unusual. Most yards at this level publish at least a cruise figure, and several publish full performance tables.
We have left those rows empty on the specification table rather than filling them with an estimate. If a broker or a listing hands you a precise Sunreef speed, ask where it came from, because it did not come from the shipyard.
The same applies to displacement, which Sunreef publishes for nothing in the range, and to draft, which it publishes for only three of the fourteen models. Get the numbers you need in writing before you sign a build contract. Sunreef will provide them — they simply are not on the website.
Where to Start
The Sunreef 70 Power NEXT gives you the power range's deck plan with the water and fuel to actually leave the dock behind, at a size that does not automatically require a large crew.
Step up to the 80 Power for materially more tankage, more accommodation and the only published draft figure in the range. Step down to the 60 if berthing and running costs matter more than range.
