Sunreef's bestselling power catamaran is a sixty-footer with thirty-five feet of beam and room for twelve people aboard. Once you have stood on the aft deck, the sales figures stop being surprising.
Who It's For
The Sunreef 60 Power NEXT is the entry point to the shipyard's power range and the boat that most often converts monohull owners. Sunreef publishes 18.3 m (60 ft) overall on a 10.70 m beam, CE design category A, and accommodation for up to 12 guests — one of only three models in the whole range with a published guest count.
It suits the owner who wants big-boat deck space and a flybridge without stepping into a size that demands a large permanent crew, and who values shallow-water access enough to give up the marina flexibility that a narrower hull would give.
Design and Layout
Ten point seven metres of beam on a sixty-foot hull produces a full-beam aft cockpit, a saloon with sightlines out both sides, and hull volumes deep enough to carry both guest and crew accommodation.
The aft hydraulic platform doubles as a swim and water-sports terrace and handles tender launching. Under the NEXT programme the flybridge gets a flush layout with options for spa pools, bars and extended sunpads.
Interiors are drawn per owner. Sunreef notes that the hull volumes can be configured as guest cabins, crew accommodation or utility space depending on the navigation plan. No cabin or head count is published.
The Engine Range Tells You Something
Sunreef specifies the classic version from 2 × 300 hp up to 2 × 850 hp. That is an unusually wide band, and it means two 60 Sunreef Powers can be very different boats.
Fuel follows the same pattern: 6,000 l to 10,000 l. That is a lot of diesel for a sixty-foot boat, and it is worth reading as a statement of intent. The classic version of this hull is designed to cover distance.
The Eco version replaces the diesels with a solar-electric package built around Sunreef's solar skin 3.0 panels and next-generation batteries. The shipyard publishes neither a motor output nor a battery capacity for it, which is a gap you should close in writing before you order.
The Panels Are Sunreef's Own
This is the part of the story that is genuinely hard to copy. Sunreef designs and manufactures its solar panels in-house at Gdansk and laminates them into the composite structure rather than bolting a third-party array to the roof. They are flexible, so they mount on hulls and curved biminis as well as flat surfaces.
That integration is why the shipyard can quote a classic and an Eco version of the same boat off a single specification sheet, and why the array scales with the hull instead of being limited to whatever fits on a flat roof.
What Sunreef Does Not Tell You
Sunreef publishes no speed figure for any boat in its current range. No top speed, no cruise speed, no range — not on this model and not on any of the other thirteen we cover. That is unusual. Most yards at this level publish at least a cruise figure, and several publish full performance tables.
We have left those rows empty on the specification table rather than filling them with an estimate. If a broker or a listing hands you a precise Sunreef speed, ask where it came from, because it did not come from the shipyard.
The same applies to displacement, which Sunreef publishes for nothing in the range, and to draft, which it publishes for only three of the fourteen models. Get the numbers you need in writing before you sign a build contract. Sunreef will provide them — they simply are not on the website.
Where to Start
Buy the Sunreef 60 Power NEXT if you want twelve guests, a flybridge and superyacht deck space on a hull you can still berth without drama.
Step up to the 70 or 80 Power if you need more tankage and accommodation. Look at the ULTIMA range instead if the beam is going to be a problem at your home marina — that range exists precisely to solve it.
