The Bali 7.0 is a sailing catamaran of 73'11" (22.53 m) overall on a 33'10" (10.32 m) beam, drawing 6'1" (1.85 m), with a light displacement of 88,185 lbs (40 t) and 110,231 lbs (50 t) at maximum load. Usable deck area is 2,476 sq ft (230 m²). She is laid out for six to eight guests plus crew, in two, three or four cabins each with its own head. The yard's R&D department conceived her, Briand Yacht Design drew the naval architecture and Piaton Berco designed the interior.

Tankage is 528 gal of fuel and 401 gal of water, supported by integrated solar panels and lithium storage for long stays away from a dock. The organising idea is the one the rest of the range is built on, taken further: open-plan living where boats of this size usually divide the volume into separate compartments, with the signature Bali door opening the main deck from the saloon through to the cockpit.

Auxiliary power is twin diesels, 195 HP standard with 230 HP optional, moving 88,185 lbs (40 t) light and 110,231 lbs (50 t) at maximum load. Draft is 6'1" (1.85 m) — deeper than the numbered boats below her, and the dimension to check against your home anchorage and your intended cruising ground before anything else on the specification.

Sail area is 3,013 sq ft (280 m²), balanced for power against ease of handling: the boat keeps the simple manoeuvring the smaller Balis are known for rather than adopting a grand-prix rig. Integrated solar across the hardtop, lithium storage and 528 gal of fuel are the autonomy package, and they are what make isolated anchorages a plan rather than an ambition. Get observed burn at your intended cruising rpm in writing at sea trial and work your own passage numbers off 528 gal.

An entire hull can be dedicated to the owner, which is the decision that separates this boat from the rest of the range. The space is organized around a panoramic suite full of daylight, extended by a private lounge, a walk-in wardrobe and a bathroom finished to residential standard. Pocket doors let you run it as one open volume or close it down to a single private room, depending on who else is aboard.

The galley sits in the port hull rather than on the main deck. That frees the saloon for one large reception space and keeps meal preparation out of the room your guests are in, with a dumbwaiter carrying service between levels; the dining table seats up to ten. Crew have their own cabins and an independent mess, so the service side of the boat runs without crossing the guest side. Two, three and four-cabin arrangements are offered, each cabin en-suite, and forward the rigid deck becomes a full lounge facing the horizon.

The 7.0 is Bali's flagship, above the 57'11" 5.8, and it changes what the range is for: 2,476 sq ft (230 m²) of usable deck against the 5.8's 1,501, crew cabins with a separate mess, and an owner's hull rather than an owner's cabin. Cross-brand she meets the Lagoon Seventy 7 (78'2"), the Fountaine Pajot FPY70S (72'2") and the Sunreef 70 Sail (71'0") — seventy-foot sailing catamarans bought with crew in mind. Against the Sunreef's semi-custom finish and the Lagoon's volume, Bali's argument is the open main deck and how much of the deck area you can actually use.

This is the boat if you are running a crewed programme and want a catamaran platform with the private accommodation of a motor yacht: a hull to yourself, a galley that does not sit in your living room, and crew who can work without walking through dinner. Give a whole hull to the owner if the boat is genuinely yours, and take the four-cabin plan only if guests rotate through in numbers. Three things to settle early: 33'10" (10.32 m) of beam and 6'1" (1.85 m) of draft together decide which marinas and which anchorages are open to you, and the CE category is listed as pending, so name the delivered category in the contract. If you want most of this in a shorter slip and without crew, the 5.8 is the honest alternative; if you want a semi-custom interior rather than a series one, look at the Sunreef 70 Sail.
