The Sundancer 370 is one of the better-executed sterndrive sport cruisers Sea Ray has built in the past five years. The twin 8.2L MAG HO engines with Bravo Three X drives are proven, and the joystick piloting system works as advertised. The hull rides well in chop, and the 20-degree deadrise gives you a softer entry than flatter competitors. Build quality is solid, particularly in the cabin fit and finish. The fiberglass hardtop and coupe enclosure option are smart design choices that add real usability.

This boat is for the owner-operator who wants performance and overnight capability without stepping up to a 40-footer or paying for outboards. It’s not for the buyer who wants the lowest possible operating cost or the easiest engine access. Sterndrives require more maintenance than outboards, and you’re looking at 30-40 gallons per hour at cruise. But if you’re planning to keep the boat for five to seven years and you value cabin space over engine serviceability, the Sundancer 370 makes sense. The layout works, the performance is there, and the boat feels like it was designed by people who actually use boats.

Resale on Sundancers has been consistent, and the sterndrive market is still strong enough that you’re not taking a major hit on depreciation compared to outboard models. The three-year factory warranty is a real advantage, and the 10-year structural coverage gives you protection that most competitors don’t offer. Maintenance costs are predictable if you stay on top of service, and the boat holds up well if you’re not neglecting it. This is a smart buy for the right owner.
