A Minted Location day guide
Dock & Dine in Wrightsville Beach
Dock and dine here is berth-and-walk rather than restaurant dockage, and two waterfront venues cover the practical answer between them.
Bridge Tender Marina is the one to aim at. It states a 300+ ft floating dock, quick gas or diesel fuel-ups, and a position on the Waterway at the bascule within walking distance of restaurants, bars, and grocery and supply stores. Take the float, then walk to dinner — and call the dock for length, depth and fee before you plan around it.
Dockside Restaurant & Marina runs 30, 50 and 100 amp shore power and is a certified North Carolina weigh station that sponsors area fishing tournaments, which tells you exactly what kind of boat pulls in here. Day dockage is by arrangement — call ahead.
Everywhere else, arrive the way the town does: take a slip at one of the marinas above and walk, or come in by tender.
The stops, as their own docks describe them
| Spot | Where | Arriving by boat |
|---|---|---|
| Bridge Tender MarinaThe market's practical dock-and-dine mechanism, and it is berth-and-walk rather than restaurant dockage: the marina states a 300+ ft floating dock and a position within walking distance of restaurants, bars, and grocery and supply stores. Call the dock for length, depth and fee. | Wrightsville Beach — on the ICW at the bascule | A 300+ ft floating dock — call ahead for length, depth and fee |
| Dockside Restaurant & MarinaPublishes 30, 50 and 100 amp shore power and status as a certified North Carolina weigh station that sponsors area fishing tournaments — which tells you what kind of boat pulls in here. Day dockage and tournament dates are both a phone call. | Wrightsville Beach — on the Waterway | Day dockage by arrangement — call ahead |
| Bluewater Waterfront GrillWaterfront dining at Wrightsville Beach. Dock access here is a phone call rather than a published policy, so ring the restaurant before you plan an arrival around it. | Wrightsville Beach — on the Waterway | By arrangement — call ahead |
Dockage notes are what each restaurant publishes on its own site — space is first-come and dinner-hour rafting is real, so hail ahead. Where a venue states nothing about docking, we say so rather than guess.
Planning more than lunch?
We represent buyers wherever the right boat sits — shortlisting, surveying and sea-trialing on the buyer's side of the table. Tell us the mission and we'll tell you which boat, and which berth, it calls for.
