A Minted Location day guide
Dock & Dine in Monaco
Monaco compresses the best dock-and-dine geography in the Mediterranean into minutes of running time: a private restaurant dock on the Monte-Carlo Beach peninsula, a free boat shuttle off the Yacht Club pier, two arrive-by-sea beach clubs on the coast west, a 1969 quayside institution in Beaulieu — and the famous Port Hercule rooms a walk off the quay.
The SBM axis — La Vigie and Monte-Carlo Beach
La Vigie Zanoni carries the cleanest by-boat welcome in the market: SBM's own page states a private dock and calls the restaurant “an ideal gourmet stopover during a day of yachting” — Simone Zanoni's kitchen for the 2026 season, lunch 12:30–15:30 and dinner 19:30–22:30, seven days. Prefer to leave the boat in the harbor? SBM's free shuttle runs from the Yacht Club de Monaco pier in Port Hercule to Monte-Carlo Beach in 15 minutes, six guests a boat — high season (June 21–August 31) daily 9:00–21:00, with departures every 30 minutes from La Vigie and the Yacht Club between 11:00 and 16:00.
The coves west
Eden Plage Mala in Cap d'Ail publishes the whole procedure itself — “Visit us from your boat,” with GPS 43°43'22"N 7°23'26"E and a dedicated boat-shuttle line (+33 7 85 41 75 71), season mid-April through the end of September. On land the cove is reached only by the coastal path or the Mala stairs, per the commune's own page — which is exactly why it belongs on a boat day — and the same page notes the path's 13 security barriers close in strong wind or rough seas, so save the Mala for a calm one. One bay farther west, Anjuna Beach in Èze-sur-Mer states a valet/boat service “to access the beach directly from the sea.”
Beaulieu's quay
African Queen has held its spot on the Port de Plaisance since 1969 — “Located on the port, facing the yachts,” in its own words — restaurant daily 12:00–23:00, rooftop lounge to 01:00. Its site describes the position rather than a berthing procedure, so the port's capitainerie does the tying-up: Beaulieu's tourism office counts 723 berths, the Métropole 720.
The landmarks — walk off the quay
None of Monaco's famous rooms needs a tender once you're berthed. Quai des Artistes serves its brasserie under the Port Hercule arcades at 4 Quai Antoine 1er, open every day of the year but Christmas Eve night. Maya Bay's Thai and Japanese kitchens sit at 24 Avenue Princesse Grace by Larvotto. And La Note Bleue has played jazz over Larvotto's supervised swimming beach since 2001, daily 9:00–22:00. Check local dockage options for each and let your berth do the work.
Before you go
Three knots is the limit in both ports, arriving captains report to the Maritime Police at 14, quai Antoine 1er, and during Monaco Yacht Show week (September 23–26, 2026) Port Hercule is the show floor — plan the casual runs around it. Flag for Tony: the site describes the port-front position rather than a berthing procedure — the Port de Plaisance does the tying-up (723 berths per the tourism office, 720 per the Métropole). Demote to walk-ashore landmark if the quote doesn't clear the bar. | Port de Plaisance, Beaulieu-sur-Mer, France | “Located on the port, facing the yachts” — its own words; berth via the Port de Plaisance de Beaulieu and walk the quay; daily 12:00–23:00, rooftop lounge to 01:00 |

| La Note BleueLarvotto's jazz beach restaurant since 2001 — Mediterranean menu with live jazz, soul and funk over the sand; the walk-ashore finish to a Monaco day. | Plage du Larvotto, Avenue Princesse Grace, Monaco | Check local dockage options — Larvotto is a supervised swimming beach, so walk ashore from your berth; open daily 9:00–22:00 |
Dockage notes are what each restaurant publishes on its own site — space is first-come and dinner-hour rafting is real, so hail ahead. Where a venue states nothing about docking, we say so rather than guess.
Planning more than lunch?
