Dock & Dine in Antibes
Antibes feeds a boat owner two ways: a pair of beach tables you can reach on your own keel or tender, and an old town full of famous rooms a rampart walk from a Port Vauban berth. The stops below carry each venue's own published welcome — where a site is silent on dockage, we say so and point you the right way.
Juan-les-Pins — the landing-stage lunch
La Plage Belles Rives is the strongest arrive-by-boat welcome in the market: the hotel's own site describes its pontoon with a private landing stage at the private beach of F. Scott Fitzgerald's former villa, with La Plage serving Provence-inspired summer cooking daily through the May–September beach season — and Port Gallice's 525 berths next door on the same boulevard.
The Garoupe — lunch on the hook
Plage Keller's Restaurant Le César has held the Plage de la Garoupe since 1931, and its site says the words a skipper wants to read: "deux pontons en bois" — two wooden pontoons reaching over the water. Anchor clear of the Posidonia, mind the 66/79 ft (20/24 m) arrêtés, and time it right: lunch runs noon to four, with Le César's wild-fish dinner service on the beach until ten.
Cap d'Antibes — the landmark tables
La Maison de Bacon, the bouillabaisse institution above the shore since 1948 — three Gault & Millau toques under chef Nicolas Davouze — and BABA, Assaf Granit's Levantine beach restaurant at the water's edge on the plage Les Pêcheurs beside Port du Croûton, are the cape's famous rooms; both sites are silent on boat access, so check local dockage options and come by tender drop or by road. Royal Beach, the Royal Antibes' private beach restaurant on L'Ilette Bay, runs April to October.
The old town — dinner off the Port Vauban quay
Tie up once and walk. Les Vieux Murs keeps its vaulted room and terrace on the ramparts at the Promenade Amiral de Grasse — its own site points guests to the Port Vauban car parks, which tells you whose dinner crowd it feeds — and Le Figuier de Saint-Esprit, Christian Morisset's Michelin-starred table, is minutes into the lanes behind them.
Before you go
Berth first, then book: Port Vauban takes visitor bookings on its own site (VHF 9), Port Gallice answers berth requests within 48 hours through its customer space, and in August every quay on this coast is spoken for.
