It’s not for the buyer who needs four staterooms or wants to live aboard. The 580 is a weekend cruiser with serious capability, not a floating condo.

Resale on Ferretti models has been stable, and the brand has decent support in South Florida. Maintenance costs will run 8 to 12 percent annually depending on usage, which is in line with other European builds. Volvo engines are well-supported, and parts availability is good. If you’re keeping the boat in South Florida and using it for Bahamas runs, this is a solid choice. If you’re planning to cruise the Chesapeake or the Pacific Northwest, look at something with more range and a different hull design.”
