“TWO STATEROOMS. TWIN DIESELS. 700 HOURS.”

The Gran Turismo 38 is Beneteau’s take on the Mediterranean sport cruiser, and it solves the problem most buyers in this size range are wrestling with: how to get genuine two-cabin cruising accommodations, diesel economy, and a protected helm deck into a boat that still fits a 40-foot slip. With the hardtop and power sunroof, this is an open boat when you want the sun and an air-conditioned coupe when you do not, which is exactly what South Florida boating asks for.

What stands out on this particular hull is the drivetrain and the service history behind it. Twin Volvo Penta D4-300 diesels with DuoProp sterndrives and joystick docking make this an easy boat for a couple to run, and at 700 hours the time is modest for the year. In 2023 the outdrives were fully serviced, the propellers reconditioned, fresh zincs installed, and the fire suppression systems renewed, so the expensive maintenance items have already been addressed. The teak decks, cockpit wet bar, and Simrad electronics package round out a well-equipped example.

For a buyer stepping up from a bowrider or downsizing from a flybridge boat, this is a sensible platform: diesel range, real sleeping accommodations for four, and single-handed docking confidence. At $209,900, she deserves a serious look.
