The Alloy 44 is one of the most thoughtfully engineered yachts Sanlorenzo has built in the past decade. The aluminum construction is executed at a high level, with attention to detail in the welds, paint systems, and structural integrity that you do not always see in fast-displacement hulls. The MTU powerplant is a known quantity, reliable and serviceable, with performance numbers that match the yard’s claims. This is not a boat that over-promises and under-delivers. It does exactly what Sanlorenzo says it will do, and it does it well.

This yacht is for the owner who values privacy, speed, and layout flexibility over sheer size. If you want to run a full charter program, look elsewhere. If you want a floating hotel for 20 guests, buy something bigger. But if you want a fast, capable yacht that you can actually use for extended cruising with family or a small group, the Alloy 44 is one of the best options in the 140 to 150-foot range. The three-level owner’s suite is not a gimmick. It is a genuine differentiator, and it changes how you live on the boat.

Resale on Sanlorenzo superyachts has been strong, particularly for well-maintained examples with documented service history. The Alloy series is relatively rare, which helps with value retention. Maintenance costs are real—budget for crew, fuel, insurance, and annual service—but they are predictable if you plan ahead. Find a yard that knows aluminum, establish a relationship with an MTU service center, and keep up with the paint and systems. Do that, and this yacht will hold its value better than most in the class.
