The 360 Outrage is the best iteration of this platform Boston Whaler has built. The hull is proven, the fit and finish is tight, and the engineering decisions make sense. The Joystick Piloting is not a gimmick—it genuinely changes how you operate the boat in close quarters. The gyro is expensive but transformative if you spend time offshore. The Fathom system is forward-thinking and reduces the need for a generator, which is a real operational advantage.

This boat is for the owner who runs 75 to 150 hours a year and wants a single platform that handles offshore fishing, family weekends, and the occasional overnight trip. It’s not for the casual boater who docks at the marina restaurant twice a month. It’s also not for the hardcore tournament angler who needs a 42-foot Yellowfin. It’s for the guy in the middle—the one who knows what he’s doing and doesn’t need hand-holding.

Resale is strong, but maintenance is not optional. The Mercury V10s are bulletproof if you service them on schedule. The gyro requires annual service. The Fathom system is new technology, so long-term reliability is still being proven. Budget for the real cost of ownership, not the brochure number. If you do, this boat will deliver for a decade.
