Boston Whaler 325 Conquest Review: The Dual-Purpose 32-Footer That Actually Works
A redesigned hull, genuine overnight capability, and a cockpit built for serious fishing. The 325 Conquest bridges the gap between center console and express cruiser without the compromises of either.

The 325 Conquest represents Boston Whaler’s most successful attempt at building a boat that genuinely excels at two missions. The keel-up hull redesign isn’t marketing speak. The ride is noticeably better than the outgoing model, with improved planing and less bow rise on acceleration. The standard twin 300 Verados are adequate, but the 400s transform the boat into a legitimate offshore runner with the speed to outrun weather and the range to make it matter. Build quality is typical Whaler: overbuilt in the right places, with attention to details like drainage and access panels that separate production boats from custom work.
This boat makes sense for the experienced operator who wants fishing capability without sacrificing cruising comfort. It’s not for the buyer who wants a floating condo or the hardcore tournament angler who needs every inch of cockpit space. The 325 works best for the owner who runs 20 to 40 days per year, splits time between fishing trips and family cruising, and values the ability to handle the boat solo when needed. If you’re comparing this to a Grady-White 330 Express or a Pursuit OS 325, the Whaler trades some fishing-specific features for better overnight accommodations and a more refined ride.
Resale on Whalers remains strong, particularly in Florida and the Northeast. The brand commands a premium, but depreciation curves are gentler than most production builders. Expect to retain 60 to 70 percent of value after five years if the boat is maintained and not abused. The Mercury Verado platform is proven, and parts availability is excellent. The Seakeeper gyro adds complexity but also adds value on resale. Budget $12,000 to $18,000 annually for slip fees, insurance, and routine maintenance if you’re keeping the boat in South Florida. The 325 is expensive to own, but it’s not exotic-expensive. You can run this boat without a full-time captain, and that’s where the real value lives..”
