There is a moment every owner recognises. It is six in the morning, the coffee is still hot, the forecast is clean, and the trip happens because you can handle the boat alone.
The Tiara 43 LS was built for that moment. It is a 43-footer that does not apologise for choosing outboards, does not pretend to be a liveaboard cruiser, and does not need a second pair of hands to leave the dock. It is the boat you take out on a Thursday because you can.
Who It's For
This boat makes sense for the owner who already knows what they do not want. You do not want to manage crew schedules. You do not want to plan trips three months out. You want a boat that responds to your calendar rather than the other way around.
The 43 LS is for the operator who values the day over the square footage. Weekend runs, island-hopping, three stops and two swim breaks and no advance reservations. It is also for the owner coming up from a thirty-something center console who wants a head, a galley and berths, without giving up the handling that made boating fun in the first place.
If overnighting is going to be the plan rather than the exception, look at the 43 LE instead. Same length, different priorities.
Design and Layout: Cockpit First, and It Shows
Tiara drew the Luxury Sport line around outboard propulsion from the start, and the 43 LS is where that shows most plainly. There is no engine box to design around and no inboard running gear to make room for, so the deck gets the volume.
Social zones and seating spread across a cockpit-first layout, with the galley placed to serve the party rather than a formal salon. That is the sentence that describes the whole boat: the working end is where people are, and the cooking is where the people are too.
The Adventure Module is the fishing-oriented cockpit option, so the same hull sets up as an entertaining platform or as a day-fishing boat without changing what it is. Specify it at order.
Below deck the 43 LS accommodates four. The cabin is purposeful rather than palatial, and that is the correct call for how this boat gets used - somewhere to get out of the sun, rinse off the salt, take a nap, and make lunch without going ashore.
Performance: A Quick Cruise, Documented
Twin Mercury Verado V12 600s hang off the transom. Tiara tested the boat on Lake Michigan at a 26,941 lb test weight, with full fuel, water and waste and no optional gyro fitted.
Wide open throttle was 54.2 mph at 6,055 rpm. Zero to 30 mph took ten seconds.
Optimum cruise is 43.9 mph at 5,000 rpm, worth 253 statute miles on 90 percent of the 400-gallon tank. That is a fast cruise setting for a 43-footer with berths below, and it is the number to plan a crossing around.
Two other things the outboard configuration buys that never show up on a spec sheet. First, engine access: tilt the motors and you have it, with no crawling into a bilge. Second, draft. At 3'5" you can tuck into anchorages that would stop a comparable inboard cruiser, which on a boat built around the day is not a minor detail.
The hull carries 21 degrees of deadrise at the transom, and joystick control comes with the Verado package, so close-quarters work is straightforward single-handed.
What to Check at Sea Trial
Run it at 5,000 rpm, hold it there, and get observed fuel burn in writing. Tiara's figure describes one hull on one day at one weight - your range comes off your own numbers and 400 gallons.
Dock it yourself, in a slip the width of the one you keep, in a crosswind if you can arrange it. The single-handed case is the reason to buy this boat, so test the single-handed case.
And spend an hour in the cockpit with the module you intend to order. That is where you will spend the day.

The 43 LS sits between the 39 LS and the 46 LS in Tiara's Luxury Sport line, running twin engines where the 46 LS steps up to triples and 660 gallons.
