“
The Grande 36M is one of the more honest boats Azimut has built in the past five years. The build quality is solid, the engineering is conservative, and the layout reflects real input from owners who actually use their boats. The MTU package is reliable, the hull is proven, and the systems are straightforward enough that you are not going to spend your life troubleshooting proprietary electronics. This is not a boat that will wow you on paper, but it will quietly outperform your expectations after 100 hours of use.
This boat makes sense for the buyer who runs 30 to 60 days per year, keeps a small crew, and prioritizes comfort and layout over speed or brand prestige. It does not make sense for the buyer who wants to be the center of attention at the dock or who plans to run it hard in open ocean conditions regularly. It is a coastal cruiser with enough range to be useful and enough space to be comfortable. If that matches your use case, it is one of the better options in the 115-foot range.
Resale on Azimut has been stable in the U.S. market, and parts availability is better than most European builders. Maintenance costs are predictable if you stay on top of the schedule, and the boat holds value well if you keep it clean and documented. The Grande 36M is not going to appreciate, but it will depreciate slower than a Sunseeker and cost less to maintain than a Ferretti. That is the reality of ownership at this level, and this boat handles it better than most.”
